Program
Whether you are raising venture capital, negotiating a license agreement, measuring the worth of your enterprise, or commercialising technology, an understanding of valuation methods is a necessity.
This MasterClass provides an opportunity to refresh your understanding of valuation, and to learn new approaches to dealing with future uncertainty. It is broadly applicable to biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies.
The MasterClass will provide a non-mathematical overview of valuation concepts - it is based on the use of Excel models and introduces @Risk simulation software. What you will learn: |
| |
Fundamentals: The four fundamental methods of valuation |
| |
Valuation under Uncertainty: Expected NPV, using @Risk models |
| |
Forecasting Sales: Methods for projecting future sales |
| |
Real Options: Debunking the hype, straightforward approaches to valuing choices |
| |
Case Study: Delegates will work in teams to derive a valuation in a simulated case |
| |
A CD including all models used in the MasterClass as well as a trial version of @Risk will be provided to each delegate |

"I have attended the Valuation MasterClass and was hugely impressed. It is difficult to find a more appropriate introduction to the sort of technologies that we see, and doesn't involve having to wade through the hefty texts that describe it. Michael Brand is an expert in the area and delivers the material well in a suitable timeframe. I would certainly recommend the course to others."
